Artist Statement
My work extends across photography and photocollage, printmaking, drawing, embroidery, installation, and participatory socially engaged practice. I am a mostly self-taught artist, and my practice is shaped by curiosity, experimentation, and learning through making.
I am interested in the active role artists can play within societies, workplaces, organisations and communities, as well as art’s capacity to bond, connect and unite us across differences and diversities. My work reflects a fascination with the natural world, explored through physical and aesthetic forms and as metaphors for our connection to the earth and to one another.
Within my socially engaged practice, I bring creativity into spaces where art is not usually expected, using it as a way to open dialogue, encourage connection, and create new possibilities. My work reflects an ongoing interest in the relationships between people, nature, and the unseen.
